Carlow-based sustainability consultancy honoured at national ceremony in Dublin.
Dublin, Ireland – 23 May 2025 – VisionGreen Consultancy, a sustainability-focused business headquartered in Rathvilly, County Carlow, has been awarded the prestigious Green Business of the Year at the 2025 National Enterprise Awards. The ceremony took place last night at the Round Room of the Mansion House in Dublin, celebrating the achievements of Ireland’s top small businesses.
Founded in 2018 by Ronan Murphy and John Pakenham, VisionGreen Consultancy provides tailored sustainability solutions to businesses of all sizes, aiming to reduce environmental impact, ensure compliance, and enhance profitability through innovative strategies and collaboration. Representing Carlow at the national level,
VisionGreen was selected by Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office earlier this year. The company’s commitment to driving meaningful sustainability initiatives has been recognised as exemplary among Ireland’s small enterprises.

The award was presented on the night by Kieran Comerford, Head of Economic Development and Enterprise at Carlow County Council, and Minister of State for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation, Alan Dillon TD.
The National Enterprise Awards, now in their 25th year, are organised by the Local Enterprise Offices to highlight the achievements of small businesses across the country. This year’s awards featured categories such as Best Start-Up, Best Export Business, Innovation, One-to-Watch, Sustainability, and Outstanding Achievement.
VisionGreen Consultancy’s success at the national level follows its earlier recognition as Carlow’s Enterprise of the Year 2025, further solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable business practices.
